what workers do on the job, working conditions, the training
and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects
in a wide range of occupations. It is updated every two years.

Outlook Handbook four times per year.
O*NET Online
This database from the U.S. Department of Labor provides information
for defining and describing occupations. It includes information
on skills, abilities, knowledge, work activities, and interests
associated with occupations.

This Web site features wage and employment trends, occupational

Family, Career and Community Leaders of
America (FCCLA)
FCCLA is a vocational student organization for young men and
women in family and consumer sciences education in public
and private school through grade 12.
SkillsUSA
This is a national organization that helps train students
for technical, skilled, or service occupations through activities
and contests.
Cooperative State Research, Education,
and Extension Service
CSREES is an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture
that advances knowledge for agriculture, the environment,
human health and well-being, and communities. The site also
provides an area for job opportunities.

National Child Care Association
NCCA is a professional trade association that focuses on the
needs of licensed, private childcare and education programs.
One of its goals is high-quality affordable childcare.
The Center for Early Childhood Leadership
The Center for Early Childhood Leadership is dedicated to
enhancing the management skills, professional orientation,
and leadership capacity of early childhood administrators.
The activities of the Center include four areas: training,
technical assistance, research, and public awareness.
