1. Conduct an Internet search for current research (within the last five years) on how fitness affects overall health. Be certain to obtain information about cardiovascular and muscle atrophy and cardiopulmonary affects. Prepare a multimedia presentation to inform your classmates of what you have learned. 2. Conduct an Internet search on a career in one of the life science fields, such as fitness instructor, physical therapist, trainer, marine biologist, or pediatrician. Determine:

a.How much education is needed?
b.How much the job pays?
c.What specialized training is needed?
d.How much it might cost to get the necessary education and training?
e.How much competition is there for entry-level jobs?
f.How much security is there in the job?

Prepare a multimedia presentation to inform your classmates of what you have learned.

Activity 10B – Use a spreadsheet program to make your data table as shown in this activity. Record the data in the spreadsheet as you perform the activity. Use the mathematical functions of the spreadsheet to do the calculations for finding the length of time the object was held up. Use the graphing function to plot a bar graph of length of time the object was held up on the vertical axis and student‘s name and which arm on the horizontal axis. Use this graph to share your information with classmates. Print the final spreadsheet with all calculations, and secure it in your SCIENCE PROBE Logbook where you answer the discussion questions.
