Traditionally the four major disciplines--biology, chemistry, physics, and earth/space science--are taught in separate classes. Now there's a refreshing alternative. Science Probe I & II offers a coordinated approach to science instruction. All four science disciplines are presented in the curriculum on a unit-by-unit basis, as innovative materials invite students to become active participants in the learning process.

A Two-Year Course All in One Package

Science Probe I & II is a two-year curriculum primarily for ninth and tenth grade students. Because it is coordinated science, it's a perfect survey course and ideal for fulfilling a two-year high school science requirement. Both Science Probe I and Science Probe II begin with an introductory chapter on the nature of science followed by six units, each of which treats one of the major science disciplines in greater depth.

Engages Students

Each unit is filled with exercises and investigations that make science interesting and challenging to students. These include student-led activities, step-by-step experiments, and group collaboration opportunities.
