Number of players: 2
Materials: Index cards, spinner
Dare to Compare

Copy onto cards the numbers 1 through 20, one per card. Shuffle the cards and divide them evenly. Label equal sections of one spinner "Square" and "Circle."

Each partner spins the spinner to determine whether he or she will find the area of a square or a circle. Then, each partner places face up one card from his or her hand. The number on the card tells the length of a side if you spun "Square" or the diameter of a circle if you spun "Circle." The partner with the greater area takes both cards and places them aside. Continue in this way until you have played ten rounds. The winner is the partner who won more cards.
